Science Goals
The Big Goal:
In the 21st century, we acknowledge the importance of producing students who are prepared for college.
Our students will have opportunities in the growing STEM career field if they meet learning objectives in their courses.
In order to succeed in science, our students must have mastered skills in reading, writing and mathematics
Goal 1:
Students will improve skills in order to achieve benchmark for college readiness as measured be Explore, Plan and ACT assessment.
Students in 8th grade, 9th grade, 10th grade and 11th grade.
Students in 7th grade will take ISAT and practice with Explore practice questions.
Goal 2:
Students will show growth in NWEA in math and reading as supported by life and physical sciences.
Goal 3:
Students will become proficient in content specific objectives in science courses by the end of the year. Proficient means a 70%!
Goal 4:
Students will show growth in their writing skills through Writing From The Beginning and Beyond. Growth will include or exceed one level on the rubric.
