This site is a nice collection of informational sources. The site includes an atlas, encyclopedia, thesaurus, as well as an easy to navigate site which is divided into sections of interest.

A website maintained by the CIA which provides information on the history, people, government, economy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 267 world entities.

 A great source for researching countries.  Includes: Government, maps, news, culture, business, tourism, education, ecology, history, etc.  

The Free Library
A good source to use when you are doing reports.  You have access to over 21 million articles and books by using this website.  The site also includes clear information for citation purposes. 

Encyclopedia of World Biography
A searchable database of famous people.  This is an excellent site to use when you are conducting research on a particular person.
