PBIS Tier 1 at EFAA
We are fully implementing Tier 1 of the program this year. Our program includes teaching students what the expectations are here at EFA, incentives and acknowledgements for following the school's expectations, corrections for behavior that does not meet those expectations and constant reminders of how to "do the right thing." We strive to assist every student reach his or her highest level of success!!
Students are acknowledged INDIVIDUALLY:
Kindergarten through 8th grade students who are following the Rough Rider Way can earn Strider Bucks. Strider Bucks can be used to "purchase" items from the PBIS cart, which will be available once a quarter. Students will also be able to trade in Strider Bucks with their teachers in a classroom store weekly.
Students are acknowledged as a CLASSROOM:
Classrooms will each have a ten-square poster in their room. Classrooms earn horseshoes from any staff member in the school, though their classroom teacher can only give horseshoes to their homeroom when they have a certain number of days of perfect attendance, perfect uniforms, and perfect planners.
Once a class earns ten horseshoes, they will receive a Strider Shoe. This will be posted outside their classroom. For every 5 Strider Shoes earned, (aka earns 50/100/150/200 horseshoes) the class will earn a bigger prize!
