Science - 2 units of credit

Mathematics - 3 units of credit
(3 years- 1 year Algebra)
1 year Geometry Content Course
U.S. History 1 unit of credit
(1 year)
Economics - (1) ½ unit of credit
(1 semester)
American Government - (2) ½ unit of credit
(1 semester)
Social Studies - Elective 1 unit of credit
(1 semester)
Physical Education (includes Driver Ed. and Health Ed.) - 2 units of credit
(4 years)
Fine Arts or Foreign Language (3) or Applied Technology (4) - 1 unit of credit

4 year state college/university entrance requirement
Four years of English emphasizing written and oral communication and literature;
Three years of social studies emphasizing history and government;
Three years of mathematics, including introductory through advanced algebra, geometry and trigonometry or fundamentals of computer programming;
Three years of laboratory sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, or anatomy/physiology); and
Two years of electives in *foreign languages and/or music and /or art
Promotion requirements include:
Students will be required to meet current promotion requirements as determined by Board Policy:
Grade 9th to 10th grade - minimum of 6 credits
Grade 10th to 11th - minimum of 12 credits
Grade 11th to 12th - minimum of 18 credits
Academic Recognition at Graduation:
Cum Laude - GPA 4.00-4.49
Magna Cum Laude- GPA 4.50-4.74
Summa Cum Laude - GPA 4.75 or higher
