The African American Hall of Fame Museum Scholarship

Description: The African American Hall of Fame Museum supports African American graduating seniors of Peoria Public Schools and Quest Academy who are pursuing higher education at an accredited college or university. One-year, non-renewable monetary awards are to be applied toward expenses incurred to attend an accredited college or university. Applications are available on MS Teams under the Course Materials and in the Counseling office. African American resident of Peoria Public School District 150 and Bloomington/Normal schools. Students must be a 2024 graduating high school senior, have a minimum high school cumulative grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 or 5.0 scale, Leadership qualities as evidenced by activities, interests and affiliations at the high school and in the community, Two recommendations from a counselor, teacher, coach, or employer and Acceptance at an accredited college or university for the 2025-2026 academic year

John F. Kennedy Profile In Courage Essay Contest

Description: The Princeton Prize in Race Relations (PPRR) recognizes and rewards high school students who, through their volunteer activities, have undertaken significant efforts to advance racial equity and understanding in their schools or communities. They and recipients of Certificates of Recognition are also honored at regional ceremonies and, if possible, at their schools.
