After serving as Peoria High School's principal for the last 7 years, Dr. Annette Coleman is PPS's new Director of Community-Based Social-Emotional Learning! Mr. Shaun McGinnes is taking over as principal at PHS.

From practicing in a backyard in 2015 to performing for sold-out audiences in 2023, the student-led Hawley Wild Drama Club is an amazing example of what PPS students are capable of when they set their minds to it!

Thank you to the Peoria Fire Department, Afro-American Fire Fighters Association, Peoria Firefighters Local 50, the Park District, and Product of the Project for getting our students ready for school by giving out hundreds of supplies at their Back-To-School events. The school year is off to a great start because of your investment!

Congratulations to Peoria High Performing School of the Arts senior Jesus Reyes and recent graduate Claire Cox for winning the Peoria Sky Art Competition! Their artwork will be displayed on a City billboard for one year. Check out Claire’s billboard across from the Knoxville and Lake St. intersection. Jesus’s mural is located at 116 Lourdes Street in Metamora.
