HEALTH SERVICES

At Peoria Public Schools, we prioritize the health and well-being of our students. Our comprehensive school health services are designed to ensure that every student has access to the care they need to thrive academically and personally.

Nurse's Office - Our school nurse is available to provide basic first aid, manage chronic health conditions, and offer support for students with health-related concerns. Visit the nurse's office during school hours for basic health needs.

In-School Health Clinics - Through partnerships with local healthcare providers like Carle, we offer in-school health clinics where students can receive medical care, school/sports physicals, and immunizations during the school day. These clinics operate like prompt care facilities, ensuring convenience and accessibility for our students.

Mental Health Support - We understand the importance of mental health in academic success. Our counselors and mental health professionals are available to provide support, counseling, and referrals for students experiencing emotional or psychological challenges. Reach out to your counselor or principal for mental health support or referrals.

Health Education - We believe in empowering students with knowledge about their health. Our health education curriculum covers topics such as nutrition, physical activity, substance abuse prevention, and sexual health, equipping students with the skills they need to make healthy choices for life.
