Class Description
Keyboarding and Formatting is a course designed to develop basic skills in touch keyboarding techniques for entering alphabetic, numeric, and symbol information. An online program, accessible outside the classroom, is used to help students develop their current skill level. Students will learn to edit and format text and paragraphs, change fonts, work with headers and footers, cut and paste text, use tab keys, and work in multiple windows.

Grading Policy
For touch typing, grades will be based off of a students' words per minute (WPM) and their accuracy (93% and up) with typing.

40+ = 10/10
35-39= 9/10
30-34 = 8/10
25-29 = 7/10
20-24 = 6/10
15-19 = 4/10
14 and below = 4/10

Grade break down

70% - Summative (timed tests)
30% - Formative (typing lessons)

Make-up Work

-If a lesson is graded, it is the student's responsibility to tell the teacher if they finish an assignment.
-If a student is present in class but refuses to do a timed test, that can't be made up. Timed tests MUST be done in class on the day they are given.
