Welcome! My name is Mrs. Keli Mayhew.  This is my 25th year of teaching and my 4th year of teaching English at Richwoods High School. I previously taught high school in another district for 20 years before moving to the Peoria area.  

I graduated from Western Illinois University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in English – Secondary Education.  In 2004, I received a master’s degree from Western Illinois University in English writing & literature.  I taught part-time for Spoon River College and for The University of Phoenix (online) for over a decade.  I still love taking classes and especially love teaching classes.  My favorite part of teaching is getting to know my students and helping them be successful.  As a result, please feel free to ask me questions anytime you do not understand something in this course.
