The Annie Jo Gordon Community Learning Center hosted a project-based learning, building-wide field trip centered around the famous Route 66. The entire school was transformed as each hallway was decorated with displays representing the eight states along the iconic highway. Visitors had the opportunity to sample popular regional cuisines from each state. Additionally, a vintage car show featuring vehicles from the 1950s and 60s was on display. This project was inspired by a 4th to 8th-grade class field trip to the Route 66 Car Museum in Springfield, Missouri earlier this year.
