The documents below along with the One Drive resources will work together to provide teachers with the guidance to deliver a fully aligned Common Core Curriculum. 

The course Year Long Plan Overview will list the following:

  • Unit Topic

  • Suggested time for instruction

  • Major, Supporting, and/or Additional standards for each unit

  • A brief explanation of the course focus 

  • Any fluency expectations for the course

     

The high school units are structured so that teachers can follow the scope and sequence of Savvas EnVision Mathematics. High school teachers (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and Math Investigations) will use the information, problems, exit tickets, and assessments from Savvas Envision Mathematics to deliver lessons that are fully aligned to the expectations of rigor outlined in the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.  A focus on procedural skill and fluency, conceptual understanding, and application engaging students in the content through the Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice is expected.  High school lessons must also emphasize mathematical modeling as indicated in the specific standards.
