Good evening Rolling Acres Families,
These are the announcements for the week of February 10, 2025.
*We are collecting new and gently used children’s books for the library project book drive for the Cafe Santa Rosa library. Please send your donations to the school library.
*Registration is open for the Greater Peoria Family YMCA’s Teen REACH after school program for Rolling Acres students. Teen Reach is a free and exciting opportunity for teens to stay active and engaged all school year. Teen REACH is a program that provides a variety of services to support students. Each day at the Greater Peoria Family YMCA, they work to provide meaningful youth programming to support young leaders and change makers as they navigate their youth development journey into successful adulthood. Transportation is provided from school to the YMCA every day. The program runs Monday through Friday 2:30pm to 6pm this includes school breaks, half days, and summer. Registration is available online at www.peoriaymca.org or in-person at the Membership Experience Desk.
*The YMCA is hosting a Presidents’ Day Teen Camp. This is a free camp service for that day only, that runs 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Families do not have to be a member of the YMCA to participate. Parents must provide transportation as well as meals. Sign up using the QR code on the flyer or just visit www.peoriaymca.org. A flyer is located at bottom of these announcements.
*Spring intercessions will be held at various community partners from March 24 - March 28. Registration is from Feb. 9th - Feb. 28th. Families can register at the following link.

*Our current mindset is 100% Accountable. Please ask your child what they are learning about the current mindset.
*Our attendance percentage last week was 91.12%. It was not enough to beat Reservoir. This week we are up against Mark Bills. Please help us beat the Eagles by sending your child to school every day.
*We are continuing to address chronic absences. Just for reference, any student who has missed 11 or more days of school regardless if it is excused or unexcused is currently considered chronically absent. Please help us lower our chronic absence rate by sending your child to school every day. I have also attached a copy of the RA attendance practice to this week’s message. ATTENDANCE PRACTICE
