Attendance
Our first week back was AMAZING! We averaged 97% attendance for the week and had a three way tie with our weekly attendance challenge winners. Congratulations to Mrs. Todd, Mrs. Napoli, and Mrs. Gorman's class for having 98% attendance! They will enjoy their free dress day on Wednesday, January 15th. Please, always remember, attendance matters!
Cold Weather & Kellar Cares
Please send students with hats, coats, and gloves when needed. If you are in need of assistance with coats or any other weather related clothing, please contact Jen Olson.
E-Learning
Snow and/or bitterly cold weather can possibly bring an E-Learning Day. Please click on the link to familiarize yourself with all of the useful information provided on our e-learning web page. If you have problems with the link, click on E-learning in the green bar towards the top of this page.
Morning Drop Off & Afternoon Pick-up
It is very important that all families follow the established Drop Off & Pick-Up Procedures. Please do not park on the side of the road on Mt. Hawley when dropping off your student. There have been numerous concerns and is a safety issue.
Building Access Policy: Please drop your student off at the door and hallway supervisors can assist them to class if needed. Otherwise, parents will need to sign in at the office before entering the building.
Fire Lane /Bus Lane Parking: During AM/PM Arrival and Dismissal, please park either on the back blacktop or in a designated parking spot. The Fire Lane and the Bus Lane in front of the school must remain clear. This is to ensure safety for all of our students.
If you need to cross the street, please use the designated crosswalk and avoid parking on the sides of the street on Mt. Hawley.
After School Pick-Up: To keep dismissal orderly at the end of the day, when picking students up from the cafeteria, exit 2, by the garbage bin, and exit 3, around the back corner, are for exiting only. To enter the school building to pick your student(s) up from the cafeteria, please only come through exit 4 located on the right after you completely walk pass the newer playground equipment. Please share this with anyone who may be coming to pick your student(s) up after school.
If you are going to let your student(s) play on the playground after school or are staying after for some other reason, please move your car to an open spot outside of the fence immediately so the gate can be closed.
Playground Expectations
It is extremely important that every student at Kellar follows our school's playground expectations during school time to keep everyone safe. Please review and discuss these with your student(s).
The Golden Rule: Treat Others as You Would Like to Be Treated
Please encourage your student(s) to make appropriate choices at school and on the bus by reviewing with them our school wide expectations that they agreed upon at the beginning of the school year by signing their student handbook and communicate that you always have the same expectations for them when they are attending school.
Thank you for all you do, no one plays a more important role in the educational success of a student than their family!
Don't forget to shine your Kellar pride!
