Franklin Primary School was given the August Most Improved Attendance Award for increasing their attendance by 2.7%! Keep up the great work!


Fact of the Day: 41% more Latinos enrolled in college from 2010-2021!

Fact of the Day: Spanish is the second-most spoken language in the United States after English. There are about 20 Million Spanish speakers in the US!


After Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Education Center, the Dual Language Immersion class moved up to Whittier Primary School. The very first class is now in 3rd grade!


Fact of the Day: Hispanic Heritage Month starts on September 15th because it is the anniversary of the day Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua became independent in 1821!


Peoria Public Schools began our Dual Language Immersion Program 6 years ago at Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Education Center! Native Spanish and native English speakers learn both languages in the SAME class at the SAME time!
