Clinical

In Mrs. Jones's CNA class, sometimes the most valuable learning takes place outside the classroom. For two and a half weeks, students in the Certified Nursing Assistant program applied what they have been learning throughout the school year at Proctor Place where they assisted the staff in caring for the residents. Students were put into pairs and assigned to work with a Proctor Staff CNA and experience what a career in the position could be like. Mrs. Jones described it as a 'wonderful experience' and an excellent way to prepare for their upcoming final and, more importantly, the state board exams they will need to pass to earn their certification. Students gained invaluable hands-on experience and will carry fond memories of their time there as they enjoy their much earned winter break!
