Valeska Hinton's Family Art night was a FUN-tastic evening of community, collaboration & creating sponsored by an ARTS DOLLAR grant from ARTS PARTNERS.
Art Knows No Bounds was inspired by a collaborative teaching experience during the
2018 – 2019 school year that focused on providing an inclusive learning environment for neuro-divergent individuals and those with developmental delays while partnering with a general education classroom. Originally, this experience offered forty children the chance to participate in a wide variety of sensory accessible art experiences.
ARTS PARTNERS awarded an Arts Dollar grant to Valeska Hinton to expand these experiences to all of Valeska Hinton students. During the event, students and their families had many opportunities to experience sensory-accessible process art combing gross motor activities with the world of art.
The culmination of the event was a color dance, complete with music provided by K.T. Entertainment that celebrated all the villages in Valeska.
At the end of this evening, families were able to take home a piece of artwork that they created with their children.
