Counselor Grades K-4

I am a proud graduate of Peoria Public Schools. I have worked in the school district for 20 years. I have spent the majority of my career as a classroom teacher. As a teacher, I valued the relationships I created with students and wanted to enhance my ability to help students reach their full potential. This is my third year working as the K-4 School Counselor at Lincoln K-8. I absolutely love working with the staff and students here. I am a mother of two who are students in Peoria Public Schools. I truly believe " it a takes a village to raise a child."  I am honored to be a part of your child's village and am eager and willing to assist in any way I can. 

My Responsibilities Include:

  • Individual Counseling 

  • Small Group Counseling

  • Refer Students to Other Services

  • Lead Social - Emotional Learning Classroom Lessons

  • Analyze Behavior, Academics, & Attendance

  • Lead Peer Mediation 

Counseling Services I Provide:

  • Bully Prevention

  • Grief Support

  • Anxiety

  • Check in and Check Out

  • If Student Needs Intense Therapy Sessions, They Will be Referred to Another Provider

 How to Receive Services:

  • Teacher/ Administrator Referral

  • Parent/ Guardian Referral- You may call or email me to discuss any services you'd like your child to receive.

  • Student Referral- I try to stay visible every morning and after school for students to reach out to me if they need me. They may ask their teacher to send me an email to request to speak with me if they are in need of support. I check my email frequently throughout the day and will assist as soon as I am able.
