Just a brief reminder concerning Glen Oak P.E. classes: If your child chooses to wear dress or non-tennis shoes (BOOTS or CROKS) to school that day and they have gym class scheduled, PLEASE!!!!!!! make sure they either bring their tennis shoes to class for gym or quickly change into them before their class comes to gym class. I will give them time to change into them. If they don't have proper footwear for gym class, they can still do stretches/exercises, but they can not run during sprints and play in the daily game/activity that we play that day. They must sit out during the running and activity time. Sitting out of class activities will result in a lowering of their daily PE grade.

THE EVERYDAY GLEN OAK GYM EXPECTATIONS: FOR SUCCESS IN GYM CLASS PLEASE FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING..............................

1. TENNIS SHOES REQUIRED TO PLAY AND PARTICIPATE IN GYM CLASS

2. NO GUM, FOOD, OR CANDY DURING GYM CLASS

3. HAVE FUN IN GYM CLASS!!!!

4. PLEASE STAY OFF THE STAGE AND BLEACHER AREAS FOR SAFETY ISSUES

5. KEEP HANDS AND FEET TO YOURSELF DURING GYM UNLESS WE ARE PLAYING A TAG GAME ETC.

6. PARTICIPATE IN GYM ACTIVITIES!!!!!!!

7. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS AND RULES OF THE GAMES/ACTIVITIES

8. NO TUMBLING OR FLIPPING IN THE GYM

9. ALWAYS SHOW GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP DURING GYM CLASS
