Kindergaten

Hello! Welcome to Kindergarten!! I am so happy to be a teacher atThomas Jefferson and look forward to a great school year. I have been married for 21 years and have 3 daughters in high school. After graduating from Western Illinois University in 1998, I have worked as a teacher or teaching in assistant in daycares, private schools, and public schools working in early childhood & elementary education. I love to read stories to the students and enjoy making teaching fun. One of my favorite activities to do is the Embryology Project where we hatch chicken eggs in the classroom.

In my free time I like to make things out of clay for my small business. I also enjoy being with my family, making craft items, volunteering with my church and the 4-H program.

I am looking forward to a great school year!! If you ever have questions or need to discuss your child's educational needs, my email is marie.lindahl@psd150.org and I will get back to you asap.

As you shop for your back to school items, please make sure each items is labeled with your child's name. Students need a full change of clothes (in uniform colors: pants, shirt, socks, underware) to keep in the classroom. Students also need a set of headphones to use in the classroom when using the stream laptops. When you shop for gym shoes  (which are required daily) please consider getting velcro or slip on shoes as teachers are unable to help with tying.
