Welcome to my page!

My name is Amy Kapraun. I am a Peoria native and a graduate of Peoria Public Schools! I am very proud of the district in which I teach and where I have sent my children to school.

I started teaching in District #150 in 1990. I have taught at Irving, Woodrow Wilson, Thomas Jefferson, and Charter Oak. I have taught kindergarten, second grade, and third grade.

I attended Woodrow Wilson Grade School kindergarten through eighth grade. I graduated from Peoria Central High School. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Illinois State, and a Masters Degree in Reading from Grand Canyon University. I am licensed to teach kindergarten-9th grade and to be a reading specialist. Additionally, I have 32 hours towards a masters degree from Bradley University in counseling.

I have three children of my own and I know how important a teacher/parent relationship is! Feel free to call the school office, put a note in your child's take home folder, or email me at amy.kapraun@psd150.org
