The Woodruff Career and Technical Center Hair Braiding program hosted The Now's and Later's Showcase, featuring upcycled fashion and protective hairstyles, emphasizing environmental sustainability and hair care. They all celebrated a milestone. The Now's represented Manual, Central, and Richwoods High Schools, while the Later's hailed from Von Stueben, Hines, and Valeska Hinton. The Now's had the opportunity to make a difference and understand that the Later's looked up to them. It served as encouragement to be bold and proud of their self-image (Crown Act). They all shared their aspirations, from aspiring doctors, nurses, and teachers to pursuing higher education to become a Doula (Midwife).
