Mr. Vinson was born in Little Rock, Arkansas but was raised in West Memphis, Arkansas. After graduating West Memphis High School in 2005, Mr. Vinson moved to the South Suburbs of Chicago. After attending Prairie Stat College in Chicago Heights, Illinois, Mr. Vinson transferred to Illinois State University to purse a Teaching Career.

Graduating Illinois State in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Geography Education, Mr. Vinson decided not to use his talent in one classroom but to reach out to every student within the school. This decision led to Mr. Vinson working within District 150 for 7 years helping students with Social and emotional skills to cope with different situations that life presents.

After leaving District 150, Mr. Vinson worked for the City of Peoria as a Project Coordinator/Development Technician. Mr. Vinson decided to take this career path to learn how to help assist the community and help more people while doing so.

After 2 years with the City of Peoria, Mr. Vinson decided to go back to his true passion which is the students in District 150. Mr. Vinson starts his first year as a Career Coach here at Woodruff and looks forward to guiding the students to a career that best fits their personal interests.
