College Success, ICC 110
Dr. Gilson grew up in the East Bluff neighborhood of Peoria and is a proud graduate of Woodruff High School. After high school, Dr. Gilson went on to earn a BA in Comparative Literature (University of Wisconsin-Madison), MS in Education and Social Policy (Northwestern University), and PhD in English (Illinois State University).
She has years of experience teaching both high school (Homewood-Flossmoor, Lane Tech, Pekin High School) and college (Illinois State University, Methodist College, Bradley University) students and is excited to be working with students in the dual credit College Success courses at Woodruff.
Current WCTC students enrolled in Dr. Gilson's course can find all their assignments and course information in our ICC Canvas classroom.
Snow Days
Please sign into TEAMS with our class at your regularly scheduled class time. I will be on TEAMS to answer questions for the duration of the class period.
During class, you will be expected to sign into our ICC Canvas classroom to work on and/or submit assignments and/or projects.
If you do not have access to the internet, please choose one of the following options: (Option 1) Continue working on the current project or assignment for our class. You can compose notes, sketches, lists of idea, informal essays, etc. as they relate to your project and/or the overall unit. (Option 2) Complete one of the Essential Employability Skills packets provided to you at the beginning of the semester.
For either option, please turn in your work upon our return to in-person class.
