2nd Grade

My name is Lydia Butler. The 2023-2024 school year begins my 29th year of teaching. For 16 years, I taught Science and Technology. This is my 7th year in Second Grade. This year we are joined by Julie Strunk, a deaf & hard of hearing (DHH) interpreter. Mrs. Strunk is here to assist our DHH students.

I attended Murray State University in Murray, KY. There I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. My major was science and math education. Before that, I attended Southeastern Illinois College, Harrisburg, IL. Where I received my Associate of Science Degree.

Jason, my husband, and I have been married 27 years. We have two daughters, Sarah and Savannah.
