Welcome, Jamieson and Peoria Adult Transition Academy staff, students, and families! This is my 21st year in Peoria Public Schools. My journey as an educator began when I decided after visiting an International School in Hong Kong in 1997 that I wanted to teach students with exceptional needs. I started as a teacher at Roosevelt Magnet School in 2001, where I taught general education and special education for 7 years. I served as a Special Education Administrator in our district from 2008 until 2019, and then had the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Principal at Dr. Maude A. Sanders Primary School from 2019 until 2021. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year as the principal here at Jamieson, and have already learned so much about our supportive school community. I look forward to continuing to serve with our staff and families, and I appreciate all of the support I have received so far this school year. My husband and our three sons have enjoyed becoming a part of the Jamieson family as well!
