The Student Pledge

I realize that my education is important.  I know I am the one responsible for my own success.  Therefore, I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability:

• make every effort to attend school on a regular basis, making sure to be to class on time

• be a cooperative learner, bringing pencils, papers, books, and all learning tools to class

• be responsible for my own behavior, behaving according to all school rules

• complete and return all assignments including homework on time

• take home all notes, graded papers or other school documents

The Parent Pledge

I understand that my participation in my student’s education will help his/her achievement and attitude.  Therefore, I will continue to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability:

• see that my child is punctual and attends school regularly

• support the school in efforts to maintain proper discipline

• participate in orientation, parent/teacher conferences, Back-To-School Night and any other school events

• support my child’s work efforts and make sure assignments are completed

• encourage my student to engage in reading activities for at least 15 minutes every day

• make sure my child gets a good night’s sleep

The Teacher Pledge

I understand the importance of the school experience to every student and my role as educator and model.  Therefore, I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability:

• provide a highly disciplined, safe and structured learning environment

• provide motivating and interesting educational experiences with high expectations for each student

• strive to be aware of the individual needs of students

• communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior and academics

• provide appropriate homework assignments which encourage parent involvement

• continue to learn and grow professionally
